South Shenandoah

Over 35 members of the Potomac Appalachian Trail Club maintain 48 miles of the Appalachian National Scenic Trail within the South District of Shenandoah National Park of the National Park Service in western Virginia.

This Website uses the Joomla Content Management System to provide content that supports those volunteers and the hundreds of hikers and backpackers who follow the storied Appalachian Trail in this section of the Park.

Visitors find information on SouthShenandoah relative to both the Trail and to the Park in the various content items and downloadable documents available there. Members use this portal to open and submit work trip reports to PATC and to post or learn of trail projects, training, and social events.
